As far as I can remember I've always loved to recycle / reuse. Growing up in the 70s' and 80s' I used to love reading my Mom's 100 Idees , a wonderful French magazine that had the coolest ideas for creating something new with something old. That publication had a great impact on me and this project reminds me of it.

I've often marvelled at Whole Foods' brown paper bags. First of all I love Kraft paper and they usually have very cool designs on them. This one is no exception. As soon as I saw it I knew it was going to be a mini album for some summer pictures and memories.

I cut the " Destination Summer" out and adhered it to Creative Cafe blue cardstock.
I applied a layer of PVC ( Paper Source ) on it and let it dry.
I then cut out around the lettering more precisely and use that as a template for the background.
The cover page was cut in half as the interior pages whose width have to be a little bit smaller due to the binding coils.
The next step was the binding which was done with the bind-it-all machine.
Rubbans were added as embellishments et voila!
Let me know if you have any questions or comments, I'll be happy to answer them.

This looks fabulous - how clever!

To answer your question on my blog. Yes - anyone can have a go at the 'bling challenge.' All you will have to do is register on the Scrap Therapy site and say hello (if you like..I'd love to see you there.) Then upload the layout into the album in the gallery to win a prize! If you don't want to sign up - then take the challenge for fun and I can post it on my blog for everyone to see if you like! :D

Enjoy your day.
