HEALTHY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

No page or card or anything creative today, not that I don't have any projects or ideas, but sometimes one has to clean, cook, bake, tend to the yard...especially with 6 young guests coming tomorrow and staying with us for a few days.
Baking is sort of creative, especially since I always end up altering the recipe I'm "following". This one is so cool, it has very little butter ( replaced by pureed prunes ) and makes very moist cookies.
How often is it that one finds a healthy recipe that actually tastes better than a regular one loaded with butter?

I'm going to make some right now so check again soon for the critics/reviews.

A PAGE AND A CARD

I had just finished the "Happy lily " L.O when I found myself whipping up a little card for my oldest.Idon't know why I don't do that more often , it didn't take long at all since the supplies and tools were out and after all, isn't it what SCRAPbooking is all about?
( card size: 4 x 9 inches ).

~ SEEKING: SWEET KNITTED DOLLY / CHERCHE DOUDOU a TRICOTER ~

I have a soft spot for knitted dollies ( or as we call them in French : les Doudous Tricotes, et non, ce n'est pas la que je confesse dormir chaque nuit avec mon doudou tricote par ma Maman ). I bought this kit last week-end and love the "natural / homemade" look it has. It comes from the U.K ( another positive thing in my opinion ) and the box turns into a rocking chair for the "big bunny"( rather clever, I thought). You may have noticed the "8 + " sign on the box, well, after checking out the instructions, I'm not so sure an 8 year old would be able to pull it off but what about a 40 year old? Sure, I haven't knitted in 20 + years and have never had to follow the instructions in English but why not give it a try.
If you have spotted any cool "Doudous" out there waiting to be knitted, be sure to let me know.
THANK you for your comments.

MEMORIAL DAY

Relaxing at home, exploring different neighborhoods, discovering cool murals...
a perfect day.

DETAILS

I'm often asked "What do you miss the most about Paris?", and of course, a zillion things come to my mind... my family, the bakery with its fresh baguette at every street corner, the smell of rain on the pavement, the chestnut trees, the exhibits, the parks, the patina, the public transportation...I could go on and on but the one element that links them all is: DETAILS.

This L.O reflects my love for details which are absolutely everywhere in Paris.

supplies:
solid cardstock: Bazzill
The title and p.p: American Craft
the acrylic stamp used: Borders Flourishes DMD
rub-ons: Creative Cafe
The Pix size: 2 in.

MINI FOR MOTHERS' DAY

In France Mothers' Day is always on the last Sunday of the month of May. I sent my Mom this mini which is about a typical Sunday at her place when she has us over for an incredible lunch. I used Polaroid pictures so the mini is a little larger than the pictures. All the pages are made of heavy card stock from Creative Cafe, I creased the petals with my fingers to give the flower more dimension.
Thank you for visiting me today.

BONNE FETE MAMAN

THANK YOU.

i feel like it's Christmas...your comments are so positive and sweet.

PAGE OF THE DAY

This L.O is about my father-in-Law who has always enjoyed singing with his choir.
I get so excited whenever my pictures have a black background because I like black and also because I know it'll be easy to add to it without being too loud.

It's all about being EXCITED isn't it?
I mean excitement is what get my creative juice going, bubbling I should say, so here comes my 1st question for you: " What gets your creative juice going? "

your comments will sure get me excited.

PAGE OF THE DAY

This 8 1/2 by 11 L.O is about my sweet niece who was 8 months old on the pictures.
I thought adding the bits of black would make the beautiful SEI papers pop.
The title was made using my favorite alpha from Quickutz : Abigail.

What mattered to me in terms of esthetics:
  • toujours et encore the WHITE SPACE
  • rounded corners
  • margins
  • clean lines
  • simplicity
  • tiny embellishments

THIS IS IT ! JE ME LANCE!

jet-lagged, unable to get up without waking other members of the gang, I had to lie there in bed and that's when it all came to me at 4 a.m in the City of Lights: a blog about "my art", a title that would match my initials, a place for you to come and visit, drop by, exchange ideas, CREATE...
